I installed the HD 772 on the rear. Thsee are 13” shocks; the stock ones are 12”. The Öhlins sit only 1/8” higher, and have 3/4” more travel than the 12” HD 776. By the way, the only difference between the well-known Öhlins 159 and the HD 772 is the color. I lifted the motorcycle until the right shock would slip on with no effort.

Depends what your after. The shorter shocks give the bike a nice stance and I'm sure some will give a better ride than even oem 13". But you sacrifice travel length and some lean angle.
