The FSM doesn't provide any documentation on fuel line routing, connections, etc, and I cannot find a fuel line schematic anywhere. I've got the metal return line capped for now, but it really should be properly connected. I use to pay 55 cents per foot for the old stuff, but today I paid nearly $9.00 for 2 feet of the f/i hose. If you ever plan on fuel injecting this engine this would be the time to upgrade the fuel line diameters and go ahead and use some adaptors to connect the flex lines. The 1/4 inch diameter return line is just to small for fuel injection.The fuel system is very basic, so if you already replaced the FPR and confirmed its working well then the only other mechanical component in the system is the pump. Everything else is either the 2 relays, (fuel pump and auto-shutdown), the pressure/feeder line, the inline fuel filter, and the return line back to the tank.There are 2 connections on the fuel tank sender unit. I installed a '03 6.0 with mild cam in our '97 TJ. I went with the '05 - '06 TJ fuel pump (RockAuto), converted the 6.0 fuel rail to a return-less rail ('05 GM 2500 - salvage yard) and GenRight tank.
