From what I've heard 1301's are made in italy while a300 patrol is made in america (somewhere in Tennessee i do believe) some people like to use that as a reason why the 1301's would be built better. The 1301's recoil system is not in its stock like a mossberg 930/940. Which in my opinion makes it easier to make stocks for.

The 1301 apparently cycles faster than the Ultima patrol but I never once outran the gun and it’s by far the nicest shotgun I’ve ever owned or shot. I had the opportunity to handle and purchase either one and I saved the coin and got the Ultima for what it’s worth as the patrol hand guard and loading port felt better to me.This is common to all Beretta Semi Auto models.
