What I liked when it came to the GW1 obsidian armor sets was, that all of them had ornaments crafted out of obsidian. Even caster sets had visible parts that have been crafted out of Obsidian. But this armor in GW2? Not so much. First of all, especially the heavy armor set looks like a mix/mash out of existing sets.

tbh I wouldn't mind a little nod to GW1 players who obtained Obsidian Armor. I'd love if GW1 'Obby' would allow me to unlock an additional weight-skin (Skin only, not the actual armor) upon unlocking/crafting the GW2 Obsidian. Or another nod like a special infusion/cool title.
